Garlic Butter Venison Roast

If your family is like mine and you have hunters who love to deer hunt then you probably have a freezer full of venison (down in the south we say deer)! 

We always have a couple of venison roast hanging out in the freezer so I like to thaw one out for a quick dinner idea.

Delicious and Easy Garlic Butter Venison Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 venison roast

  • 3-4 carrots chopped

  • 4 potatoes

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp. pepper

  • 1 tsp. parsley

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 1 small onion

  • 1.5 cups water or broth

Directions

  1. Add oil to your CAST IRON DUTCH OVEN

  2. Sear your venison In the oil on medium heat

  3. Next add your onion, carrots, and potatoes

  4. Add your broth or water

  5. Add your seasonings

  6. Place the lid on and cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done to your taste.

  7. About halfway through cooking add your butter and minced garlic on top of your meat, replace the lid and finish cooking.
